Empowered Healing: Integrative Therapies for Modern Clinical Practice

This training introduces therapists to holistic integrative approaches for treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Participants will explore evidence-based complementary therapies rooted in Eastern and Western traditions, learn how these modalities support whole-person healing, and gain practical skills to enhance client autonomy in recovery.

Learning Objectives:

  • Objective 1
    Identify at least three holistic integrative treatment modalities used in supporting clients in recovery.

  • Objective 2
    Explain the impact of integrative approaches on the brain, body, and environment, and their significance in the recovery process.

  • Objective 3
    Apply practical tools and strategies to support client autonomy and self-regulation during recovery.

  • Objective 4
    Describe and explain the limitations and ethical considerations of using holistic strategies that are not evidence-based, and give examples of how these methods may be used as complementary supports in recovery.
