Recently, I googled the word energy. The first question that popped up?
“Is energy an element, compound or mixture?”

So… I clicked it.

The response:

“It’s neither. Energy is its own substance. It isn’t made of elements and it isn’t a mixture of anything. So thinking of that is neither.”

Okay, maybe Google isn’t always the most reliable resource, but for a quick answer—it works.

It got me thinking—why is energy such a big deal? And how often are we aware of the energy we’re taking in, or putting out?

When Nutrition Meets Awareness

Lately, I’ve been seeing more and more posts in my Facebook feed about food, sun, and energy. Not in the traditional “diet culture” way, but in a grounded, real-life shift kind of way.

Turns out, these posts were coming from someone I know—Dominique.

Each day, I’d see something new: colorful pictures of fruit, notes about alkaline water, or photos of wild berries he found growing near his neighborhood. I wasn’t the only one paying attention—his posts started getting more engagement, more comments, more curiosity.

Now let’s be clear—Dominique hasn’t always lived this way. He’s upfront about that, often sharing his before-and-after photos to show his journey. But over time, his consistency caught my attention.

So I reached out. We set up a time to talk more deeply about the shifts he’s made—and what he’s learned in the process.

The Interview: Dominique in His Words

Q: You have recently made a change to your eating habits… tell me about this.
A: I felt I wasn’t eating anything that could fuel my being with life, love, and positivity.

Q: What was it like before changing the foods you ate? Can you give me some examples—for instance, moods, physical feelings, or psychological differences?
A: Just like anything that has a function… if you fuel it and take care of it properly, it will work more efficiently. I’m stronger. I’m happier—because that’s what I synchronize my being with. All of my senses are amplified. I process thoughts differently now.
Back then, I ate negative energy, which allowed negative energy to taint my thoughts—so my actions were made from that frequency. I have more self-control over myself now.

Q: That is amazing... What caused you to be hesitant before you started this healthy eating approach? How did you work through it?
A: I wasn’t hesitant about anything. I understood the purpose of eating foods that emit positivity, and I got motivated.

Q: I believe there's a difference when you're confident in your decision… What did you learn about yourself from the process you went through to become committed to this?
A: I learned how much positive energy I was missing out on. So much of my life force was kept dormant due to improper body fuel. I feel more powerful.

Q: What are areas within this commitment you feel need to continue to be worked on further?
A: The only thing I need to work on is my creativity with my food—my seasonings. Nothing too major. [insert chuckle here]

Q: What foods constitute negative energy… just to be clear?
A: Meats, dairy, fluoride, anything with chemicals as an ingredient.

Q: If someone becomes interested in this same approach but is anxious about it… what would you recommend?
A: I love when people come to me and want to talk about energy and food. So when a person contacts me, I’m willing to show them what I know

Q: What are areas within this commitment you feel need to continue to be worked on further?
A: Like I said earlier, just working on my creativity with food—my seasonings and new ways to prep. That’s all. Nothing major.

Q: If someone becomes interested in this same approach but is anxious about it… what would you recommend?
A: (Repeats) I love when people come to me and want to talk about energy and food. So when a person contacts me, I’m willing to show them what I know.
