According to GivingTuesday.org, Giving Tuesday is “a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. “
This national day of giving occurs annually on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. In Grand Rapids, Michigan alone, there are many nonprofit organizations and small business that depend on donations and gifts to continuously provide the services they offer to the community. And this, is something you can take part in to help strengthen your community too.

SeedMoney
SeedMoney is a nonprofit that helps food, farm and garden projects by offering grants and free assistance with online fundraising and garden planning year. Black Girl Venture Foundation

Why Not Prosper
Why Not Prosper is a nonprofit organization founded by Michelle Anne Simmon, a formerly incarcerated woman. She became inspired to turn her life around and help other women in prison as they make the transition back into society.

Giving Tuesday is a global event which happens on every first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. There are many organizations in need of the communities contribution to help sustain their services and continue to help build our community. Each of us can also help to build our community by offering our talents, time and other resources.
